Jose Maria Martinez is a Spanish cellist that develops his professional activities in the Netherlands.
He started to study at the age of 8 years old in his home town, Murcia (Spain). After years of studying and meeting a lot of good musicians and friends, he decided to start his carrier as a cellist.

In 2013 he finished successfully his bachelor in CSMA (Conservatorio superior de Aragon). There, he studied with David Apellaniz, and he got in contact with a variety of classical musicians of the actual scenario like String Quartet Quiroga, Humberto Armas, among others.
About pedagogic, he got the chance to have lessons for 4 years with Maria Isabel Quiros (level 5 Suzuki method), included regular and supervised lessons with students.

In 2016, after moving to The Netherlands, he finished his Master's degree in interpretation in CODARTS (Rotterdam) under the supervision of H-J Stegenga. Here, he continued working side by side with international performers from around the globe, adopting music as a universal language

Thanks to the experience gained in The Netherlands and with the current multicultural music environment, he decided to stay in Rotterdam and keep growing as a cellist and as a cello teacher.
